2025 Introduce a Girl
to Everyday Science

February 22nd, 2025 12:30-5 pm
University of Washington
Husky Union Building (HUB)

Welcome to the 8th annual installation of Introduce a Girl series organized by Women in Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington! This year's amazing theme is Everyday Science, and Introduce a Girl is completely free

This year's theme involves interactive STEM demonstrations that use common items to illustrate important scientific principles as well as exploring the science that surrounds us daily. The demonstrations will be aimed to educate young girls and gender minorities (ages 6-15) about science with a variety of activities and workshops, however, all children of any age and gender are welcome to attend!

The event is divided into three sessions: (1) 12:30PM-1:45PM, (2) 2:00PM-3:15PM, and (3) 3:30PM-4:45PM. All sessions will have the same demonstrations, but this allows us to welcome more participants!

Please print and fill out the 'Acknowledge of Risk' form and bring it with you to the event, thank you!

Registration cost: FREE
