2017 Medina Science Fair

Writer's picture: WChEWChE

On April 4th, 2017, WChE members traveled to Medina Elementary School's Science Fair to teach kids how materials on the nanoscale can be different from materials on the bulk scale. Students learned these concepts hands-on by making colorful thin films from clear nail polish. Thank you to Medina Elementary School for organizing this fun event and to the WChE members who volunteered!

Women in Chemical Engineering and The University of Washington acknowledge the Coast Salish peoples of this land, the land which touches the shared waters of all tribes and bands within the Suquamish, Tulalip and Muckleshoot nations. We acknowledge the people – past, present, and future – of the Dkhw’Duw’Absh, the Duwamish Tribe, the Muckleshoot Tribe, and other tribes on whose traditional lands we teach, learn, study and work
